Colliers International | Pittsburgh Honored with 2014 CoStar Power Broker Award

Colliers International | Pittsburgh has been selected by CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP), commercial real estate’s leading independent research firm, to receive a CoStar Power Broker Award. This annual award recognizes the “best of the best” in commercial real estate brokerage by highlighting the U.S. firms and individual brokers who closed the highest transaction volumes in commercial property sales or leases for the entire year of 2014 in their respective markets.

As the largest professional research organization serving the commercial real estate industry, CoStar is uniquely positioned to identify the top firms and brokers in each market throughout the U.S. All awards are based on transaction data maintained in CoStar’s commercial real estate database, which is the largest independently researched database of commercial real estate property information available online.

Colliers International | Pittsburgh qualified as one of the top commercial brokerage firms in Pittsburgh based on total leasing and sale transactions completed during the year. In order to be selected for this honor, Colliers International | Pittsburgh was evaluated against other commercial real estate brokerage firms active in its region by CoStar Group, and subsequently ranked among the top firms in the market.

Colliers International | Pittsburgh’s significant transactions that closed in 2014 include the sale of Parkway Center (622,000 SF office complex) and the tenant representation transaction at Heinz 57 Center (140,000 SF).

Costar Power Broker Awards were also awarded to some of Colliers International | Pittsburgh’s finest. Gregg Broujos, Managing Director and Founding Principal was awarded as a Top Sales Broker. Patrick Sentner SIOR, Founding Principal was awarded two CoStar Power Broker Awards as a Top Office Leasing Broker as well as a Top Industrial Leasing Broker. John Bilyak CCIM, Principal was awarded as a Top Industrial Leasing Broker. Michelle Stewart, Vice President | Retail Brokerage received a CoStar Power Broker Award for Retail Leasing.

Managing Director and Founding Principal, Gregg Broujos commented on the firm’s successful year, “2014 was a tremendous year for Colliers International | Pittsburgh, as we achieved our highest revenue in the firm’s 10 year history. Colliers International | Pittsburgh top award winner at Annual SIOR Awards Luncheon

The Western Pennsylvania Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) honored several local commercial real estate brokers at their annual awards luncheon on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Fairmont Hotel. Over 100 real estate professionals attended the event sponsored by Sampson Morris Group and Grant Street Associates – Cushman & Wakefield.

Bill Flanagan, Executive Vice President of Corporate Relations for the Allegheny Conference on Community Development, presented the awards which reflected the top transactions completed in 2014. Judges William Homa of First American Title Insurance Company, Bob Powderly of First National Bank, and Michael Cigna of Cushman & Wakefield recognized not only the largest deals, but the most creative as well.

Three of Colliers International | Pittsburgh’s Principals were presented four of the ten total awards given at the event; more than any other firm in the region. Managing Director and Founding Principal, Gregg Broujos received three awards, more than any other broker at the event. Gregg Broujos and John Bilyak were awarded Land Sale of the Year for Rockpointe. Patrick Sentner earned Office Lease of the Year – CBD for the UPMC lease completed at Heinz 57 Center. Gregg Broujos was also awarded Investment Sale of the Year and Office Sale of the Year with the sale of Parkway Center.

John Bilyak, Principal proudly remarked, “The number of awards that our firm won, along with the size of those transactions, speaks to the power of the Colliers brand and the strength of our brokerage professionals and administrative staff”.

Global COO of Colliers International Calls on CRE Community in Rapid Urbanization Crisis

Dylan Taylor, Global COO of Colliers International recently posted an article to LinkedIn titled “The Rise of Megacities: Will It Be Our Finest Hour?”. The post focuses on the reality of accelerated urbanization and what the commercial real estate industry can do to better the world. Taylor calls upon the CRE community:
