Luke Hingson appointed Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group Steering Committee
Colliers International | Pittsburgh is pleased to announce Luke Hingson, Investment Services Specialist, has been appointed Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group (YLG) Steering Committee. He has been actively involved with organization since 2008, and as Co-Chair of the YLG Steering Committee, has assisted the organization with re-emerging as one of the most active real estate organizations in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. As Co-Chair, Luke is responsible for coordinating ULI sponsored events as well as sponsorship and member recruitment. Luke’s leadership position with the ULI provides a networking platform to expand his relationships with professionals in Pittsburgh’s commercial real estate community.
“Since joining the Urban Land Institute, I have been able to interact with many highly regarded commercial real estate professionals, helping me to better service my clients,” said Luke Hingson, Investment Services Specialist at Colliers International | Pittsburgh. “Additionally, the educational events hosted by the ULI have helped further my knowledge of the real estate industry.”
Since formally appointing several members to the YLG board, the group has hosted two major events and has several more planned. On Tuesday March 26th, the ULI’s YLG hosted an event at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino in Washington, PA. The event focused on how the casino revenue sharing process works and its specific impacts and improvements within the local municipalities and throughout the county. William McGowen, Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington, Jeff Kotula, Chairman of the Washington County Local Share Review Committee, and Larry Maggi, Chairman of the Washington County Board of Commissioners joined the event as featured panelists.

The Pittsburgh ULI/YLG is a sub-group of ULI’s Pittsburgh District Council and one of 38 national Young Leaders Groups sponsored by a local District Council. The mission of the YLG is to reach out to the next generation of industry leaders and provide an opportunity to learn and grow as young real estate professionals in Pittsburgh by offering unique and exciting programs.
Luke Hingson is a specialist in investment brokerage services with Colliers International | Pittsburgh, responsible for assisting with the acquisition and disposition of investment properties for both institutional and private clients. He recently earned a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) degree from Georgetown University, where he completed his thesis on public and private partnerships and their impact on urban redevelopment.
In addition to the MRED degree, from Georgetown University, Mr. Hingson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, with a major in Finance, Marketing and Accounting. He is a Deans List student and received the Award of Achievement while attending Indiana University. He is also an active volunteer with the Brother’s Brother Foundation, a Pittsburgh based international charitable organization which has provided more than $3.4 billion in humanitarian supplies to people around the world.
Luke is a native of Moon Township, Pennsylvania and a licensed real estate salesperson in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He brings vast experience to the commercial real estate industry with a focus on investment property sales. His responsibilities include assisting Colliers International | Pittsburgh expand its services to various organizations and institutions throughout the Greater Pittsburgh region.
