Colliers International | Pittsburgh brokers attend ULI event at new Highmark Stadium
Gregg Broujos, Managing Director and Founding Principal, David Bivens, Office Brokerage Specialist, and Luke Hingson, Investment Services Specialist at Colliers International | Pittsburgh attended the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Young Leaders Group (YLG) Riverhounds and New Market Tax Credits event at the new Highmark Stadium in Station Square. Luke serves as the Co-Chair of the ULI YLG Steering Committee which organized the event with the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh (URA). Colliers International | Pittsburgh and Pittsburgh Urban Initiatives, LLC sponsored the event.
“The YLG Riverhounds and New Market Tax Credit event was incredibly successful, with well over 50 real estate professionals in attendance,” said Luke Hingson, Industrial Services Specialist at Colliers International | Pittsburgh. “The event, which was free as a result of Colliers International | Pittsburgh’s generous sponsorship, was a great chance for our firm to give back to both the Urban Land Institute and the local real estate community as a whole.”
Attendees heard from panelists on New Market Tax Credits, enjoyed a light lunch and toured the new stadium, which seats approximately 3,500 individuals for the Riverhounds home games and other sporting events. Panelists included Rebecca Davidson-Wagner from Pittsburgh Urban Initiatives, LLC, David M. Wilke and Jason Smida from Wilke & Associates, LLP, Jennifer Westerbeck from US Bank, and David Scheltz from Affirmative Investments.
“It was terrific to learn more about what is being accomplished locally with new market tax credits and to meet new people in various industry roles,” added David Bivens, Office Brokerage Specialist at Colliers International | Pittsburgh. “Highmark Stadium is a gorgeous venue.”
