Colliers International | Pittsburgh Announces the Gateway Center Complex’s Leasing Activity
-The leasing activity at Gateway Center Complex remains strong with new & existing tenants–
Pittsburgh, PA, October 16, 2013 – Colliers International | Pittsburgh is pleased to announce that leases have been signed with six new tenants in the past five months at the Gateway Center Complex. The new tenants include Pittsburgh Human Resources Association, LM Machinery & Equipment, Ohio Security Systems, DH Marketing, Beth Bliss, Psy.D. and Arts Education Collaborative.
Paul Horan, Founding Principal, Edward Lawrence, Vice President of Office Brokerage, and David Bivens, Office Brokerage Specialist of Colliers International | Pittsburgh, represent the landlord, Hertz Investment Group.
The Gateway Center Complex, located in the heart of the Central Business District in downtown Pittsburgh, offers suites ranging from 200 SF to 20,166 SF in four office buildings.
“Since assuming leasing responsibilities at Gateway Center over two years ago, our firm has been instrumental in raising the occupancy rate for the complex from 81% to its current level of 87%,” stated Paul Horan, Founding Principal of Colliers International | Pittsburgh and leader of the Gateway leasing team.
Additionally, Colliers International | Pittsburgh has successfully completed transactions for the expansion of existing tenants at Gateway Center by over 17,000 rentable square feet. The expanded tenants to date include Babst, Calland, Clements & Zomnir, RMG, D’Angelo & Associates, Klink & Company, Webb Law Firm and GEMGroup Inc.
Colliers has also successfully renewed the following tenants at Gateway Center this year: Commonwealth of PA (Bureau of Hearings & Appeals), Draper Triangle Ventures L.P., CT Corporation, STV, Inc., Reliance Standard Insurance, John W. Giltinan, Esq., CW Breitsman Associates, LLC, the Law Firm of Martin Hagan, Rockwell Automation, Inc., AXA Advisors and Mockenhaupt Benefits Group.
Lastly, Gateway Center will be adding an exciting new amenity to the complex in the first quarter of 2014 as Eddie Merlot’s Restaurant is slated to open its doors to customers in March. Eddie Merlot’s will occupy nearly 10,000 rentable square feet in the lobby of Four Gateway Center and cater to the business community by providing several private dining rooms. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner, will offer approximately seventy-five wines by the glass and focus on serving prime-aged beef and seafood.
