Colliers International | Pittsburgh Collects 235 Pounds of Non-Perishable Goods for Local Food Bank
To kick off the holiday season, Colliers International | Pittsburgh collected non-perishable food and other household items for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
“One of Colliers International’s core values is community,” said Operations Manager, Lisa Mikolay, “and the members of our Pittsburgh team have done a fantastic job every time they have been asked to participate in community outreach.”
To make this food drive more interesting, the office was divided into two teams to see which team could collect more items. Bragging rights and pizza were on the line.
After two weeks of “friendly” competition, the collection period came to a close on Wednesday, November 20th. The office was able to collect almost 500 non-perishable goods that, according to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, weighed 235 pounds in total.
“It is a humbling experience to be able to help our Pittsburgh neighbors and it is a time to reflect and be very thankful for all that we have,” stated Mikolay, who contributed almost 200 non-perishable food items to this year’s food drive, “I am looking forward to more community outreach in the upcoming year.”
